Every piece of Redora jewelry manufacturing starts at our production facility in Shenzhen. Solid gold, natural and lab grown diamonds, made to order. This page shows how we develop, produce, inspect, and ship custom fine jewelry.
How a Piece Is Made
Six stages from confirmed specification to packed shipment. Every order follows this sequence at our manufacturing facility.
CAD and Engineering Review
The confirmed design is modeled in 3D CAD software. Dimensions, wall thickness, prong placement, and structural load points are verified before any physical work begins. For complex pieces, the CAD file goes through a second review to confirm manufacturing feasibility at scale.
Casting and Structural Preparation
A wax model is produced from the approved CAD file and cast in the specified gold alloy. After casting, the raw piece is cleaned, excess material is removed, and the structural form is prepared for bench work. Gold alloy composition is verified at this stage before proceeding.
Assembly and Bench Work
Structural elements are assembled: shanks joined to heads, clasps attached to chains, hinges fitted to bangles. Filing, sanding, and surface preparation bring the piece to its intended profile. This is where the physical geometry of the piece is finalized before stone setting.
Diamond and Gemstone Setting
Stones are set by hand at our on-site facility. Prong, bezel, channel, and pave settings are all handled internally. Each stone is checked for secure placement under magnification before the piece moves to finishing. Loose or misaligned stones are corrected at this stage, not post-finishing.
Polishing and Finishing
The piece goes through progressive polishing stages to reach its final surface quality. High-polish, brushed, and satin finishes are all produced on-site. After polishing, the piece is ultrasonically cleaned to remove residue from the finishing process before moving to final inspection.
Final Inspection and Packing
A completed piece is inspected against its original specification: dimensions, stone count, stone security, surface condition, clasp function, and weight are all verified. Pieces that do not pass are returned for correction. Approved pieces are photographed, packed securely, and prepared for tracked international shipment.
Production Materials and Standards
What we work with and why it matters at the production level.
Solid 14k and 18k Gold
All production uses solid gold. No plating, no vermeil, no gold-filled materials at any stage. Gold alloy is sourced and verified before casting. 14k gold (58.3% pure gold) is used where hardness and scratch resistance matter most. 18k gold (75% pure gold) is used where richer color and higher gold content are the priority.
Yellow, white, and rose gold alloys are all produced on-site. Alloy composition is controlled to maintain consistent color across pieces in the same order, which is particularly important for matching sets such as wedding bands, earring pairs, or coordinated collections.
Natural and Lab Grown Diamonds
Both natural and lab grown diamonds are available across all product categories. Stones are sourced to the specification confirmed for each order. For multi-stone pieces like tennis bracelets, individual stones are matched for color and clarity consistency before setting begins.
Lab grown diamonds are chemically identical to natural diamonds and carry the same grading standards. Certification through IGI is available on request, depending on stone specification. Selected colored gemstones are also available for custom projects where the design calls for non-diamond stones.
Quality Control at Every Stage
Four inspection checkpoints applied to every piece before it leaves our facility.
Structure and Dimensions
After casting and bench work, every piece is measured against its CAD specification. Ring diameter, band width, prong height, shank thickness, and overall weight are verified with precision tools. Pieces outside tolerance are corrected before stone setting begins. This checkpoint prevents downstream issues that would be more costly to fix after stones are placed.
Stone Security
Every mounted diamond and gemstone is inspected under 10x magnification for seat alignment, prong contact, and holding force. Stones that show any movement, tilt, or gap between stone and setting are removed and reset before the piece proceeds. For multi-stone pieces such as tennis bracelets and pave settings, each stone is tested individually. This is the most labor-intensive inspection point and the one most directly tied to long-term wearability.
Surface Finishing
After polishing, the piece is examined under directed light for scratches, pitting, uneven polish lines, and residue from the finishing process. High-polish surfaces must show consistent reflectivity without visible tool marks. Brushed and satin finishes are checked for directional uniformity. Any surface defect returns the piece to the polishing bench before it can be cleared for final inspection.
Pre-Shipment Order Check
Before packing, the completed piece is compared against the original order specification one final time: stone count, stone type, gold karat, gold color, ring size or chain length, clasp function, and overall weight. The piece is photographed in its finished state for the client's records. It is then packed in protective jewelry packaging and handed to the logistics team for tracked international shipping via FedEx, DHL, or UPS.
Production and Delivery
From Confirmation to Completion
Simple designs are usually completed within 5 days. Most orders take around 7 to 10 days for production. More complex designs, including multi-piece sets and pieces with intricate stone configurations, may require up to 15 days.
Production begins after the final specification is confirmed and approved. No work is started on assumptions or incomplete briefs. This confirmation step protects both the timeline and the final result.
International Delivery
Orders are shipped by FedEx, DHL, or UPS with full tracking from our facility to your destination. Delivery usually takes 2 to 5 days, depending on destination and customs clearance.
All shipments are insured and packed in secure jewelry packaging designed for international transit. Tracking information is shared as soon as the shipment leaves our facility.
