How do the shape and setting work together?

The baroque cultured pearl has a softly irregular oval outline. An elongated gold bail sits above it, while the round diamond hangs in a small circular bezel below. The straight arrangement draws the eye down through the three elements without surrounding the cultured pearl with a full diamond border.

The 10 to 13 mm measurement describes the cultured pearl height, not the complete pendant including its bail and diamond. Each selected cultured pearl can differ in contour, surface detail and luster, so the finished outline will not be an exact duplicate of the photograph.
