Heart Face, Flat Back, and Why It Stays Comfortable

The heart face measures 4.5 mm by 5.45 mm, gently domed rather than flat, with clean rounded lobes and a soft point at the bottom. The dome catches light across the curve so the small surface still reads as a defined heart on the ear rather than as a flat outline. No stones, no engraving on the face, just polished solid gold.

The closure is a flat back labret post: the post threads into a low circular back disc that sits flush against the skin behind the lobe. This is the format used for cartilage and helix piercings and adapted here for lobe wear, which is why the pair is comfortable for sleep and for wearing under headphones. Posts are internally threaded, so the screw turns smoothly and the back stays put once tightened.

Solid 18K Gold, No Plating, Hand Polished

The pair is cast in solid 18K gold (yellow, white, or rose) and hand-polished at the bench in our Shenzhen workshop. Solid throughout, not vermeil and not gold-plated, so the surface and the post are the same alloy and the finish does not wear off over time. The heart face and the flat back disc are polished separately to a mirror finish before the post is threaded and tested.
