Two stacked bands have to be bought, sized, and kept aligned; a wrap ring gives the stacked look in one piece that never shifts out of line. Among our gold rings, it is the one built as a coil rather than a closed band.
How Does the Coil Sit on the Finger?
The ring is one continuous line of settings that spirals round the finger, so on the top of the hand the line crosses itself and shows as two parallel rows, and underneath it is a single row. The two ends finish at different points of the circle, which is what makes it read as a wrap rather than two joined bands, and it leaves the palm side slimmer for comfort.
Each diamond sits in its own round cup with small prongs at the rim. From above, the cups give every stone a thin gold outline, so the rows look like strings of little gold circles filled with light. Where the coil has a plain section on the inside, there is room for a short engraving.
What Metal and Diamonds Are Used?
The cups, the prongs, and the joins are solid 14K yellow gold. The 39 stones are round lab grown diamonds, 3/4 carat together. At this size no stone is individually graded, so the ring is covered by a test certificate on the gold and the diamonds.
