A Slim Accent Diamond Band with an Airy, Under-Bezel Look

This is an accent diamond wedding band built for stacking. A line of small round diamonds runs across the front of a slim 18K yellow gold band, each stone held in an under-bezel setting with a scalloped gallery beneath it, so the diamonds appear to float as light passes through the open metalwork. The back of the band is left smooth, which is what lets it sit flush against an engagement ring.

It is meant to stack beside an engagement ring or another band, but it reads cleanly on its own as well. Within our wedding bands collection, this is one of the most delicate, made for a wearer who wants a hint of diamond rather than a fully covered band.

Under-Bezel Stones, a Scalloped Gallery, and a Smooth Base

The defining choice is the under-bezel setting. Rather than ringing each stone with metal at the top, the bezel sits beneath the diamond and the gallery between stones is cut into a scalloped, open shape. That open metalwork is what gives the band its airy look and lets light reach the stones from below as well as above.

The band averages 1.8 mm, slim enough to stack two or three deep without crowding the finger. The diamonds, 12 round stones totaling 1/4 ct, sit across the front of the band, while the base is finished smooth and rounded so it rests comfortably against the skin and against a neighboring ring.

Solid 18K Yellow Gold and IGI Certified Lab Diamonds

The band is solid 18K yellow gold throughout, the same alloy through the diamond section and the smooth base, not plating over a base metal. The stones are lab grown diamonds, chemically and optically identical to mined diamonds and grown in a controlled lab. Each diamond is IGI certified, with grading documentation you can keep on file.
