A round brilliant diamond, held in a warm gold dome that moves with the ear. Polished enough for a formal occasion, light enough for daily wear.
4.1ct total weight, round brilliant lab diamonds in solid 18K gold with partial bezel setting and French wire hook closure. IGI certified.
Available in 14K or 18K gold, white, yellow, or rose. Diamond total carat weight and stone type can be adjusted. Hook closure can be replaced with a lever-back or clip-on on request.
These lab diamond drop earrings feature a round brilliant stone in a partial bezel dome. Each earring sits against the earlobe as a full, circular gold form with the diamond centered and fully visible at the front. The dome shape gives the piece real volume without bulk. When the wearer moves, the French hook allows a small, controlled swing that catches light on both the diamond and the polished gold surface surrounding it.
The 4.1ct total weight means each stone has a face-up diameter with presence, but the dome proportions keep the piece from reading as oversized. It works at close range, where the setting detail is visible, and at a distance, where it reads as a clean point of light beside the face. For more styles, see all earrings in the collection.
The setting on this design is a partial bezel with four small prong accents at the cardinal points of the stone. The gold rim runs around the lower and outer circumference of the diamond, holding the girdle securely while leaving the table fully open to light. The four prongs at the top of the stone add a secondary grip point and create a visual detail that gives the setting a more refined, finished appearance compared to a plain bezel wall.
The dome body of the earring is formed as a single continuous piece of gold that transitions smoothly from the setting rim into the curved base, then into the wire hook. There are no visible seams or joints in the front face. The French wire hook is formed from the same gold alloy as the dome, and the curve is shaped to sit comfortably in a standard piercing without needing an earring back. The hook exit point is positioned at the top rear of the dome so the earring hangs centered and level when worn.
The earring body is cast from 18K solid gold (Au750) in the color selected at order. The dome form requires a casting with sufficient wall thickness to hold its shape and carry the hook without flex at the connection point. Our production team casts each dome as a single unit rather than assembling separate parts, which keeps the front face clean and the hook attachment structurally sound.
The stones are lab grown diamonds, IGI certified for cut, color, clarity, and carat weight. Each pair is matched at the production stage so both stones fall within one color grade and one clarity grade of each other. The prong tips are finished by hand under magnification to confirm consistent height and angle across all four points on each stone. Final polish is applied to the dome exterior and the hook wire before the pair goes through a quality check as a matched set.
