Oval Radiant Heart Diamond Bezel Drop Earrings in 18K Gold

Three linked bezels, three different cuts. Each section moves on its own, so the drop reads as rhythm instead of a single block.

18K solid gold drop earrings with three linked bezel sections in oval, radiant, and heart cuts, 3.17 ct total (VS / E), 25 mm total drop length, screw-back posts.

The Piece

Three Bezels, Three Cuts, Three Sections That Move Independently

The drop is built in three linked sections, not one continuous piece. An oval bezel sits closest to the ear, a horizontal radiant bezel hangs below it, and a heart-cut bezel finishes the bottom. The three sections are connected by small gold jump rings, which means each bezel swings on its own as the head turns. The result is articulated movement: the oval shifts first, the radiant follows, the heart catches up. A solid one-piece drop of the same size and weight would read as static against the face. These diamond bezel drop earrings are built around that distinction.

Product type
Three-section linked bezel drop earrings with mixed-cut diamonds
Metal
Solid 18K gold (Au750) throughout frames, links, and posts
Stone sequence
Oval (top) – radiant cut (middle) – heart shape (bottom), three diamonds per earring
Total carat weight
Approximately 3.17 ct per pair, VS clarity, E color
Drop length
25 mm from post to base of heart
Setting
Full bezel for each stone, with open-back frames for light transmission
Closure
Screw-back posts for added security on a weighted drop
Pair weight
Approximately 6 grams per pair, light for visual scale due to open frame construction

At 25 mm, the heart sits just below the earlobe rather than at jaw level, which keeps the drop visible without catching on collars or hair. Within our earrings collection, this is the pair built for buyers who want diamond drops with shape contrast and segmented motion, not a single-stone solitaire silhouette.

Design Details

Why Oval First, Radiant Second, Heart Last

The shape sequence is not arbitrary. The oval sits at the top because its vertical orientation reads as an extension of the post and earlobe line, the drop appears to begin with the ear rather than to start abruptly with a horizontal element. The radiant is placed in the middle because its rectangular footprint is the widest of the three, putting visual weight at the center of the drop instead of at the bottom (which would make the earring read as bottom-heavy and pull the silhouette downward). The heart finishes the drop because its curved outline is the only one that ends the line softly, a second oval or radiant at the base would read as repetition, the heart resolves the shape progression.

Each bezel wraps fully around the girdle of its stone, the gold wall protects the stone edges and creates a clean uninterrupted gold border that reads at distance. The back of every frame is open, two reasons: it cuts pair weight (6 grams instead of 9-10 grams for a closed-back version) and it lets light enter the diamond from behind, which lifts face-up brightness. The post closure is screw-back rather than push-back, which is the right choice for a weighted drop where a butterfly clutch would gradually loosen during wear.

Materials & Craft

18K Solid Gold and Mixed-Cut Diamond Pair Matching

The frames, links, and post fittings are produced entirely in solid 18K gold (Au750), no plated base metals. The diamonds are VS clarity, E color, totaling approximately 3.17 ct across the three stones per earring. Mixed-cut pair matching is the part of this build that most distinguishes it from a single-cut drop, the same E color grade reads differently across oval, radiant, and heart cuts because light return varies by facet structure. A standard round-only earring matches one cut to one cut, this design matches three cuts to three cuts across both earrings, six stones graded as one set. Our production team in Shenzhen grades each pair at the bench for face-up tone consistency across all three shapes before the stones go into the bezels. Both natural and lab grown diamonds follow the same grading and matching workflow.

  • 18K solid gold (Au750) frames, links, and post fittings throughout, no plated parts
  • VS clarity E color diamonds, 3.17 ct total per pair across three cuts
  • Six stones graded as one set for face-up tone consistency across oval, radiant, and heart cuts
  • Open-back bezel construction machined to hold the stone securely without covering more face than necessary
  • Factory-direct production, no intermediary between our manufacturing facility and your order

Made to Order

Shape Sequence, Carat Weight, Gold Color, and Closure Options

This pair is built to order. The standard configuration is oval – radiant – heart in 18K yellow gold, but the shape sequence is the option that changes how this earring reads more than any other. Decide the sequence first, then specify the rest.

  • Shape sequence: oval – radiant – heart as standard, alternative orderings (e.g. round – emerald – pear, or three identical cuts) can be specified; tell the team which shape sits closest to the ear
  • Gold color: yellow as shown, rose, or white in 18K; white gold receives a rhodium finish for a cooler tone against the diamond faces
  • Diamond type: lab grown as standard, with natural diamond available on request at the same VS / E grade
  • Carat weight: 3.17 ct per pair as standard, scaling stones up or down adjusts total weight and price; total drop length will shift slightly with stone size
  • Closure type: screw-back as standard for weighted drops, lever-back or standard butterfly push-back can be specified at inquiry stage
  • Single-stone version: the same bezel construction can be produced as a one-stone drop on request

Next Step

The decision that changes this earring most is the shape sequence, the oval – radiant – heart order is the standard, but the same construction can hold any three shapes in any order, or a single stone. Send us the sequence you want (which shape sits closest to the ear, which finishes the drop), your preferred gold color, your diamond type (lab or natural), and your closure preference, and the production team will confirm stone availability and lead time before any order is placed.
