Station necklaces, sometimes called diamonds by the yard, are designed to be worn alone or layered with other chains without tangling, because each stone is bezel-set into the chain itself rather than hanging as a separate pendant. Within our diamond necklaces collection, this is the station-led design where the chain itself is the structure, and the stones are spaced into it rather than weighted toward a single focal point.

Bezel Set Stations, Heart Center, Tapered Layout

The defining choice in this design is the alternation of shapes along the chain. Rather than nine identical round stations (the most common station necklace pattern), this piece sequences emerald, oval, pear, and heart cuts so the eye moves along the chain instead of skipping straight to the center. The center heart sits flat against the throat hollow, and the emerald cuts (rectangular) and oval cuts (rounded) alternate on either side, framed at the outer ends by pear shapes that point outward toward the collarbone.

Every station is bezel set, which means the diamond is held by a continuous rim of gold rather than by prongs. Bezel setting protects the stone edges (particularly the corners of the emerald cuts and the points of the pear and heart) and keeps the entire surface flush against the skin, so the necklace lies smoothly without catching on collars or layered chains. Each bezel is soldered directly onto a chain link rather than hung from a jump ring, which keeps every diamond pointing face-up no matter how the chain twists during the day.

Solid 18K White Gold and IGI Certified Lab Diamonds

The cable chain, all nine bezels, and the lobster clasp are milled from solid 18K white gold (no plating, no fill), with rhodium finishing at the final stage. The cable chain is diamond-cut, which means each individual link has been faceted on the surface after assembly so the chain itself catches light along its full length, not only at the stations. The nine stones are lab grown diamonds, IGI graded in the F to G color, VS clarity range as standard, with higher grades available on request. All nine stones are matched across the four cuts so the color tier reads consistently along the chain.
