The Piece

All the Diamonds at the Edges, Nothing in the Middle, on Purpose

This diamond pave hinged cuff bracelet is a solid 18K yellow gold arc with all 28 of its round lab grown diamonds concentrated onto two angled octagonal end caps, 14 per cap, 1/5 ct in total. The body carries no stones at all. Most diamond cuffs scatter pave across the whole bracelet; this one does the opposite, and the inverse logic reads as deliberate the moment the cuff hits the wrist.

Product type
Hinged solid gold cuff with pave diamond end caps
Metal
Solid 18K yellow gold (Au750), silver-zinc alloy, no plating
Stones
28 round brilliant lab grown diamonds across two octagonal end caps (14 per cap)
Total carat weight
1/5 ct, roughly 0.007 ct per stone
Widest point (W x H)
9.4 mm x 3.1 mm, measured just behind each end cap
End cap shape
Octagonal, eight sides chosen to seat a full pave cluster without crowding
Opening
Hinge at the inner wrist bottom, invisible from any standard viewing angle
Customization
Cuff sizing (wrist circumference), gold karat and color, diamond count, stone type

The cuff also opens with one hand, the hinge is positioned at the inner wrist bottom where it stays out of sight. Within our bracelets collection, this is the design for buyers who want diamond presence at the wrist without the visual noise of full-body pave.

Design Details

Why the Mass Sits at the Ends, Why the Caps Are Octagonal, Why the Hinge Hides Underneath

The arc is not a uniform band. It runs thin across the back of the wrist and thickens as it comes forward, reaching 9.4 mm across and 3.1 mm deep just behind each octagonal cap. That distribution is structural before it is decorative: the caps carry the entire diamond load and the hinge sits opposite them, so the metal is concentrated where the piece is actually stressed. It is also why the wrist opening reads as the focal point. Weight, width, and diamonds all land in the same place.

The octagonal cap is not common in cuff design, and that is the point. A round cap matches a round cuff cross-section and reads as expected. An octagonal cap reads as architectural, the eight flat sides breaking the curved geometry at the precise point where the design wants a visual stop. Eight sides also give the cap face enough perimeter to seat 14 round diamonds in a balanced pave layout without overlap or empty corners. The cap face sits parallel to the wrist surface so the pave faces outward, returning light to the viewer rather than into the hand.

The hinge is positioned at the inside bottom of the arc and engineered to maintain alignment after repeated opening. When closed and worn, the hinge is invisible from above, from the side, and from the front. The cuff reads as a closed bangle to anyone looking at it. Only the wearer knows it opens.

Materials & Craft

18K Yellow Gold and 28 Pave Diamonds Across Two Caps

The cuff body is cast in 18K solid gold (Au750), 75 percent pure gold by weight, in a silver-zinc alloy that produces the warm saturated tone characteristic of 18K yellow. The surface is hand-polished to a mirror finish after setting, with the empty body being the surface where polish quality is most visible (any tool marks or unevenness would show without diamonds to draw the eye away).

The 28 stones are lab grown diamonds, pavé-set across both end caps with shared micro-prongs. Total diamond weight is 1/5 ct, which puts each stone near 0.007 ct, small enough that each cap reads as one continuous lit surface rather than as 14 countable points. Stone placement is checked under magnification to confirm consistent surface level across each cluster, an uneven pave at this concentration would be immediately visible because there are no other diamonds elsewhere to distract from it.

  • 18K yellow gold (Au750) silver-zinc alloy, no plating, no filled base metal
  • 28 round brilliant lab diamonds pave-set across two octagonal end caps (14 per cap)
  • The X-pattern openwork gallery along the underside of the arc is cast into the form rather than pierced afterward, so wall thickness stays consistent around the hinge seat where the cuff takes its load
  • Surface level across each pave cluster checked under magnification for visible uniformity
  • Hinge barrel fabricated from the same gold alloy, integrated flush, alignment-tested before polishing
  • Body polished to mirror finish, the empty surface where polish quality matters most

Cuff Sizing, Gold Color, Cap Diamond Count, and Stone Type

This cuff is built to order. Cuff sizing is the decision that matters most, a hinged cuff that is even slightly oversized rotates on the wrist and shifts the diamond caps out of position.

  • Cuff sizing: provide your wrist circumference in centimeters or inches and the production team will calculate the correct interior diameter (the cuff fits the wrist bone, not the widest knuckle)
  • Gold karat: 14K or 18K, with 18K offering richer color saturation in the polished body where the gold tone carries the design
  • Gold color: yellow as shown, white shifts the piece toward a cooler palette and changes how the diamond caps contrast against the body, rose introduces warmth different from yellow
  • Diamond count and stone size: 28 round brilliants across both caps is standard, larger stones or a modified cap with fewer larger diamonds can be specified
  • Cap shape: octagonal as standard, a hexagonal or rectangular cap is possible and changes the architectural read of the cuff
  • Stone type: lab grown diamond as standard, with natural diamond available on request

Next Step

Send your wrist circumference (measure at the wrist bone with a soft tape, snug but not tight) and the production team will calculate the correct interior diameter for this hinged form. Add your preferred gold color and karat, your diamond type (lab or natural), and any preference on the cap shape or stone size if you want to depart from the octagonal pave standard. If you wear this on the same wrist as a watch, mention the watch case width and side so the cuff sits next to it correctly.
