A statement stud inspired by the plumeria blossom. Pear-cut blue sapphire petal with lab diamond cluster around it.
Solid 18K white gold flower stud earrings with one pear-cut created sapphire petal and a multi-shape lab diamond cluster forming the rest of the bloom.
Available in 14K or 18K solid gold, in white, yellow, or rose. Gemstone type (created sapphire as standard, natural sapphire or other gems available on request), diamond grade, and back type can be specified before production.
These sapphire flower stud earrings are built around the plumeria blossom: a single pear-cut blue sapphire forms one petal, and the remaining petals are cut diamonds arranged around a small bezel-set center. The shape is the open, trumpet-like outline of the actual flower rather than a symmetric cluster, which gives each ear a distinct front-on silhouette.
The pair sits at the statement end of stud earrings rather than the daily-wear end: 12.8 mm across the face puts it close to a small cluster earring in scale. Within our other earrings, this is the design we recommend when the goal is one strong piece that holds the look on its own, no second ear-stack pieces needed.
The sapphire petal is set at the top-inside position on each earring, pointing toward the nose so the blue reads as the focal point in profile and front-on view. The remaining petals are cut diamonds in marquise and pear outlines, arranged so the long axis of each stone radiates outward from the center, the way actual plumeria petals fall. A small round or bezel-set accent at the heart of the bloom anchors the petals and hides the prong meeting point.
The face holds at 12.8 mm by 12.0 mm, which is close to a 3/4 inch across. The whole face sits flat against the lobe rather than projecting forward, so the pair is wearable in spite of its size. Push backs are fitted as standard for daily wear, with screw backs available on request for the heavier configurations.
The pair is cast in solid 18K white gold and rhodium-finished at the bench in our Shenzhen workshop. The eight diamonds are lab grown in F to G color and SI or better clarity, and arrive with IGI certification at the diamond level. The two sapphires are lab created, chosen for a saturated medium-blue tone that holds its color under both daylight and warm interior light. Lab created sapphires are physically and chemically identical to natural sapphires; the only difference is origin. Natural blue sapphire is available on request for buyers who prefer mined gems.
This pair of flower studs is built to order. The configuration shown is a starting point, not a fixed SKU. The following options can be specified before production starts.
