The Charlotte is an emerald cut three stone engagement ring in solid 14K white gold. An emerald cut lab grown diamond center sits in a four claw prong head between two trapezoid cut lab grown diamonds, with round accents under all three stones and along a 2.00 mm pave band, 1 1/5 ct beyond the center.
It suits a buyer who wants an emerald cut to look wider on the hand than it measures, since the trapezoids continue the outline of the center outward instead of tapering away from it. Within our engagement rings collection, this is the most heavily set design, with accent rows under every main stone rather than under the center alone.
The shoulders rise in an arc to meet the head rather than running straight into it, so the center stone is braced from both sides instead of perched on top of a flat band. A stone of this footprint sits lower to the finger as a result, which is what stops it from feeling top heavy across a day of wear, and the arc gives the pave one continuous line to travel along from the shoulder up over the bridge.
The less common detail is underneath. All three main diamonds, not only the center, carry a narrow band of round accents set parallel to the girdle. Seen from above the ring reads as three stones on a pave band. Seen from the side, or from the wearer’s own eye line looking down, a second row of light follows the outline of each stone. The trapezoid sides are the other departure from the usual. A trapezoid keeps a wide outer edge where a tapered baguette would narrow, so the width of the emerald cut carries outward across the finger and the three stones read as one rectangle divided into three rather than a center with smaller stones beside it.
The ring is made in solid 14K white gold throughout, head, cathedral shoulders, and bridge, with no filled or plated base metal core. The center is an emerald cut lab grown diamond specified per order rather than fixed to this listing, and it is IGI certified, with the report supplied alongside the finished ring. The two trapezoid sides and every round accent are lab grown diamonds as well, 1 1/5 ct in total beyond the center. Accent diamonds at pave size are set as accents rather than graded individually, so no per stone report is issued for them.
This engagement ring is built to order. The configuration shown is a starting point, not a fixed SKU. The following options can be specified before production starts.
To start an inquiry on this engagement ring, send us the center stone carat and length to width ratio you have in mind, your ring size, preferred gold karat (14K or 18K) and color, and how far you want the pave carried around the band, so we can cut the head, the trapezoid seats, and the accent rows to your exact stone.
