Diamond Cross Necklace Styles

Baguette Cross

Architectural · Clean Lines

Straight-cut baguette diamonds set shoulder to shoulder along each arm. The baguette diamond cross reads as clean lines rather than scattered sparkle, and is the most architectural of the four.

Princess and Kite Set

Bold Center · Reads Larger

A square princess-cut center turned on point, with the arms carrying smaller stones. A princess cut diamond cross reads larger than its carat weight from a distance.

Pavé and Prong Set

Lightest · Sits Flattest

Small round diamonds held in individual prongs along each arm. The lightest option, and the pavé diamond cross that sits flattest under a collar.

Oval and Round

Softer Outline · Ball Chain

Rounded stones soften the outline of the cross. An oval diamond cross pairs naturally with a ball chain rather than a fine cable chain.

FAQ

Diamond Cross Necklace Questions

Redora produces baguette crosses with straight-cut stones set along each arm, princess-cut crosses with a kite-set center, prong and pave set crosses in smaller carat weights, and oval or round crosses with a softer outline. All are made to order in solid 14k or 18k gold with natural or lab grown diamonds. Custom cross designs beyond these formats are also produced at our manufacturing facility.

A 16-inch chain sits at the collarbone, 18 inches reaches the top of the chest, and 20 inches falls at mid-chest. For most cross pendants, 16 to 18 inches is the standard range. Longer chains work better for statement pendants and layering configurations. All chain lengths are produced to your exact measurement at our manufacturing facility.

Both options produce the same visual result in a finished cross. Lab grown diamonds are priced at a lower cost per carat, making them efficient for pieces where a larger stone or higher total carat weight makes a meaningful aesthetic difference. Natural diamonds carry geological provenance and a stronger secondary market. We advise on both without bias, and the right choice depends on your budget, intent, and how much the distinction matters.

Yes. Custom diamond crosses cover the full specification: cross proportions, stone cut and size, chain style and length, gold alloy, and diamond type. We produce a 3D CAD model for your approval before manufacturing begins. Custom necklace work can also be developed alongside other pieces, whether matching earrings, rings, or bracelets produced to the same gold standard. Share your design through our custom design process and we advise on feasibility before any commitment.

14k gold is harder and more scratch-resistant, making it well suited for fine chains worn daily. 18k gold has a richer color saturation, particularly visible in yellow and rose gold, and is the standard choice for presentation pieces and formal wear. Both are solid gold throughout. The difference is in alloy composition: 14k is 58.3% gold, 18k is 75% gold. For a diamond cross worn every day, 14k is the practical choice. For a milestone or gifting piece, 18k delivers the most visually rich result.
