The pierced crosses go right through the disc, so the shirt or skin behind shows through them as the medallion hangs. Among our Jesus pendants, it is the round medallion, beside the face, full figure and crucifix designs.

How Is the Crucifix Scene Laid Out on the Medallion?

The cross stands to the right of center on a rocky mound for Calvary, with the figure of Jesus raised on it in polished relief, arms outstretched. To the left, three smaller crosses are pierced through the disc in a loose diagonal, each with a short bar above the crossbar, and they read as open space rather than as metal.

The field behind the scene is stippled in a fine grid, which keeps the polished cross and figure standing clear of it. Around the edge, a raised rim is cut in short angled facets all the way round, so the outline of the medallion catches light from any direction.

What Gold Is It Made In, and How Is the Rim Cut?

The medallion is solid 10K yellow gold, 41.7% pure gold, with the karat stamped on the bail. The large size weighs 6.73 g and the small size 3.86 g. In 14K or 18K the same medallion weighs more, and we confirm the weight in the quote before production.
